Risk Mitigation

Over the last 20 years Prime Power has qualified many modules and systems to MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-1275 requirements. Prime Power’s QA library contains all of these reports as reference or for review in order to qualify custom or modified modules and systems  by similarity if possible. If all qualification testing cannot be done by similarity, often many portions can. This results in a reduction of time, money and risk to the program.

Prime Power utilizes the same successful processes and techniques on the majority our power supplies. prime Power is so confident in the ability of our power supplies to meet customer requirements that we have our customers’ qualify the power supply at the system level, while fully supporting out customers during the qualification phase. This approach minimizes the risk, time, and cost incurred by our customers.

Pre-Compliance Testing

Pre-compliance testing for EMI dramatically improves the odds that a power supply passes EMI testing, and significantly lowers the risk of failure during the qualification process. This is especially true for custom or modified products. Pre-compliance screening also reduces the risk incurred by the program during the qualification phase, reduces the risk of missed deadlines, and helps to meet budget objectives on custom or modified products. Pre-compliance screening is a standard practice at Prime Power.
